In January 2009, Military Times launched a new glossy insert publication and Web site called EDGE for young military service members looking to transition to the civilian world. The publishers sought sophistication and portability in the design of its logo. I chose Trade Gothic for its versatility and subtly sharpened the G to suggest cutting-edge content for our reader's upward mobility. Impressive advertising contracts with new clients have been made, based on proposals using this final prototype cover layout co-designed with Angy Stricherz.
